Leung Ting

Leung Ting

Leung Ting is one of the prominent modern day wing chun kung fu master. Sifu Leung Ting is from Hong Kong. He was born in the year of 1947. Leung is one of the senior student of wing chun grand master Yip Man. Leung Ting is claiming to be the last closed door student of wing chun grand master Yip Man. But this claim is a controversial since many wing chun followers dispute over this stating that Leung Ting is not even a direct student of Yip Man.

Leung adopted his own version of wing chun with slight changes and use the spelling Wing Tsun instead of wing chun. This helps to differentiate his lineage of other wing chun practitioners. Thus he founded International WingTsun Association and also Leung Ting is it's permanent president.

Besides being a wing chun master, he also put his heads and hands into the Hong kong movie industry. He was mainly contributing as a fight director and also directed a Chinese martial arts documentary, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad Kung Fu World!, for which he wrote the screenplay too. Leung Ting also acted as himself in a martial arts documentary named, Mind, Body & Kick Ass Moves, which was hosted by UK based Chinese kung fu artist, Chris Crudelli.
